Late arrivals to the New Wave of British Heavy Metal party, Merseyside, England's Mayhem (no relation back to the Norwegian black alloy affright squad) evolved from a small-time local punk stone band, circa 1985, and attempted to reinvent their raucous, Motörhead-inspired, errr...mayhem with a three-song EP entitled Bloodrush. Unfortunately, no one was buying the thinly veiled genre-hopping artifice beingness perpetrated by bandmembers Mick McGee (vocals), Chris Hand (guitar, vocals), Dead Cat (bass), and Collo (drums) -- all of whom were presently returned to namelessness and their punk roots when Mayhem split up.
